 We arrived at our motel in Harrisburg (Days Inn) late Friday night and didn’t do much more than grabbing something to eat from the nearest Taco Bell and planning the next days events. Days Inn, Harrisburg and our Ford Explorer Saturday morning started with a “deluxe breakfast” with toast, donuts, jam and waffels. If Les mer om Harrisburg  Our first railfanning spot was the hump yard in Allentown along River Drive. (http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=40.607974~-75.432242&style=h&lvl=16&scene=3660481) Access was very limited due to the heavy vegetation along River Road, but we saw a train being pushed across the hump at Allentown Yard. Got up at 4:45 and the airport taxi picked me up at 6:20 with plenty of time to catch the 7:55 flight to Oslo. Arrived in Oslo on time and dropped my suitcase at the Continental counter before I went thru the security check which definetively is more thorough in Oslo than Les mer om From Trondheim to Newark  Peer landed in Portland, Oregon last night and today he’s heading out to the coast. He reports that the weather is all clear skies and the temperature is above 35 degrees Celcius He stopped at the Portland Terminal Railroad’s Guild Lake Yard in Northwest Portland to photograph some trains Guild Lake Yard, Les mer om Portland, Oregon  … Gardermoen Airport (OSL) that is! Continental flight 39 is on it’s way towards Newark with my traveling mate Peer because he’s starting a week earlier than me for a stop at Train Mountain in Oregon before he will fly back to New Jersey and meet me to start the official leg of the Les mer om Peer has left the building…  Today it’s just 5 weeks left before my return to the US! Wow! I’m really looking forward to this trip. When we arrive at Newark Airport we will travel west to Altoona and Horseshoe Curve.
